Kecskemet is a city in the central part of Hungary. It is the 8th largest city in the country (111,500 inhabitans),  and the county seat of Bacs-Kiskun.  

The Zoltan Kodaly Professional Music School was founded in 1982. This is one of Hungary's best professional music schools.

During the communist era there was an organist who was party secretary, named Gabor Lehotka.  He wanted to realize that not only is the organ in church, but also in concert halls. Therefore, he asked the leaders of the communist party to build organs in concert halls. The Communist Party leaders agreed with his ideas, thus several organs were built in Hungary between 1975 and 1985 by the Jehmlich Organ Factory (Dresden, DDR) in Vac, Kecskemet, Szombathely and Szekszard. They are very good organs.  These are the first modern baroque organs in Hungary.  Gabor Lehotka produced several recordings, primarily the Vac and Kecskemet Organ.

The Jehlmich organ of Kecskemet was built in 1983 in the concert hall of Kodaly Professional Music School. This is the largest Organ (40/III+P) in this series. The organ is still in good condition and suitable for both concerts and teaching.

 

The recording was made with 6 microphones from the organ in the summer of 2004. The sample was completed for the autumn of 2014 in a stereo-mix version. In recent years I have learned a lot and my sample-making technique has improved a lot, because  In the summer of 2020, I took out the raw recording made in 2014 again and reworked it. The 6 channels surround V2 is ready for July 2020 and I think it is much better than v1.

Sample quality 
The sample sets are available in wave format 48kHz/24bit, stereo, multiple loops (1-8) and multiple releases (3 levels). Equal, a=440 Hz
The sample sets made ​​in wet and semidry stereo and 6-channels surround form.   
The sample set reverb is 2.5 s reflecting the original acoustics of the church. 
Hauptwerk v4.2 and Hauptwerk v5-9 supported for the Organ Definition Files.

The original organ compass of the manuals are 56 keys (the virtual 58 keys), the compass of the pedal is 30 (virtual 32) keys.

Try the the demo sample sets before you buy! 
The Trial Versions of theJehmlich Organ from Kecskemet has a limited compass of C2-C3 (048-c to 060-c) in the pedal, C2-G5 (048-c to 079-g) in the manuals. All other functions work. I suggest you try the demo version before you buy.
Demo Installation instructions: 
Install pack01 first. You can then use the stereo 'far'. Then install the 02 pack. After that, you can use the stereo 'near'. Finally, install pack 03. You can then use the surround version. The order of installation is very important and the steps are not interchangeable.

Surround vs Stereo mode 
If you do not have a surround sound system, but there is enough memory (RAM), I suggest you also install the surround version. If you activate the front and rear stops too, then you will get a more compact and fuller sound than the simple stereo. 
If you purchase the sample, do not uninstall the demo version, as this is also required for the full sample to work.
