Aquincum  Organ from the Holy Spirit Church in Hévíz (Hungary)

Aquincum Organ fom Heviz
                                                                                             History
Héviz is a small town in the Zala county of Western Hungary with 4,500 inhabitants.
Hévíz has a peat-based warm water lake that is unique in Europe. This lake is the base of the spas of Hévíz, which is a well-known and popular tourist destination worldwide. The spa was already known in Roman times, and it still provides a living for the city's residents.
During the communist era, there was only one small church in Héviz, which did not satisfy the needs of the city's residents and tourists, but the city's management did not allow the expansion of the church. It was only after the regime change that the opportunity to build a new church opened up. It was only after the regime change that the opportunity to build a new church opened up. Thus, from 1996 to 1999, a very beautiful and large modern church was built in the middle of the resort.

The three manual, 36-register, mechanical organ was made by the Aquincum organ factory and was consecrated in 2000. The organ not only serves the liturgy of the parish, but concerts with famous organists are held on the organ throughout the year, to the great delight of mainly foreign tourists.

The following friends helped me to make and publish the sample set (in alphabetical order): Dominique Dantand, Gérard Lefranc, Nagy István and Jean-Pierre Silvestre. If something's done well, it's thanks to them. Thank you for their work.

The Trial Versions of the Aquincum Organ from the Holy Spirit Church in Heviz has a limited compass of C2-C3 (048-c to 060-c) in the pedal, C2-G5 (048-c to 079-g) in the manuals. All other functions work.

(First install the pack01 file. After installation, you can use the stereo-far version. Then install the pack02 file. After installation, you can use the stereo-near version. Finally, install the pack03 file. After that, you can use the 6-channel surround version. The order of installation is important, you cannot deviate from it!!)

The acoustics of this modern church are very dry. This is good for practicing organists, but many users prefer the nice and rich reverberation. Therefore, it is advisable to use IR reverb in Hauptwerk versions 5-8, and to use an external reverb app for Hauptwerk 4.2 users.

Surround vs Stereo mode

If you do not have a surround sound system, but there is enough memory (RAM), I suggest you also install the surround version. If you activate the front and rear stops too, then you will get a more compact and fuller sound than the simple stereo.
