Vierdag Organ from Adriaanskerk in Dreischor   (Netherlands)

Dreischor Organ
                                                                                               History
Dreischor is a very small town on the first Island of Zeeland, the Netherlands. The population is 975.
It has been known as the greenest village of Europe, and it is quite unique how well-preserved history is here.

In the center of Dreischor, there is a big church, which is so big due to the fact that it was the Parish Church of the community of Roman-Catholics. The church was built in 1342, first they started with the choir, and later-on, around 1400 the rest of the church was built. The church is built in a Gothic Architecture style, and has a remarkably good acoustic situation

After the flood of 1953, a new organ was built. This organ has been built by the dutch firm Vierdag (which does not exist anymore) and is mildly voiced for its time, where it is built in the neo-baroque style. It counts 18 stops, of which 1 is a transmission from the hoofdwerk. The stops are divided over 2 manuals (Hoofdwerk and Borstwerk) and pedals. The borstwerk is in a little swell-box which has been created in the software too. The organ has a fully mechanical tracker- and stopaction.

Special thanks to Leander vd Bos for obtaining the license. He recorded with the help of Erna van der Spek and Willem Simonse. The following friends helped me to make and publish the sample set (in alphabetical order): Dominique Dantand, Gerard Lefranc, Nagy Istvan and Jean-Pierre Silvestre. If something's done well, it's thanks to them. Thank you for their work.

Note: For the organ, which originally had a German Baroque disposition, I made an extension at the suggestion of Dominique Dantad, which also allows the sample to perform                            French Baroque works.

and install the sample that can be used with Hauptwerk v4.2 or Hauptverk 5-7.  Install the 01 pack first. After installation, you can use the stereo-far version. Then install pack 02. After installation, you can also use the stereo-near and 4-channel surround versions. The order of installation is important, you can't deviate from it!
After installation, you can use the full sample without any restrictions.  If you like the sample, upload audio demos to contrebombarde.com.

Surround vs Stereo mode

If you do not have a surround sound system, but there is enough memory (RAM), I suggest you also install the surround version. If you activate the front and rear stops too, then you will get a more compact and fuller sound than the simple stereo.
