The Beckerath organ at Christ Church  in Bremen-Vahr

Beckerath Organ from Bremen-Vahr
                                                                                               History
Vahr is a district of Bremen and belongs to the Bremen district East.    The population is 26.000.
The Christ Church Community Center is a modern building complex whose church was dedicated in 1960.
The organ was built in 1961 by the renowned Hamburg organ workshop Rudolph von Beckerath. It has a specification strongly adapted to the specification of the organs by Arp Schnitger (e.g. in Lüdingworth), which Beckerath had studied intensively around 1947-1949. The original all-mechanical traction / registration system has four couplers: BW-HW, RP-HW, RP-Ped, HW-Ped.

The recording for the hauptwerk sample was made by Dr. Dr. Michael Lütge in 2024. He prepared the audio files and did the main work. I did the fine-tuning of the files, created simple graphics and edited the ODF file. This hauptwerk sample is the result of the work of the two of us, of which Michael took on the greater part. This sample is our second joint work after the Dortmund pattern, and I hope that our collaboration will continue.

The following friends helped me to make and publish the sample set (in alphabetical order): Dominique Dantand, Gerard Lefranc, Nagy Istvan and Jean-Pierre Silvestre. If something's done well, it's thanks to them. Thank you for their work.
