New Haven is a coastal city in the U.S. state of Connecticut. With a population of 129,779. New Haven is the principal municipality of Greater New Haven, which had a total population of 862,477.
New Haven is the home of Yale University. New Haven has since billed itself as the "Cultural Capital of Connecticut" for its supply of established theaters, museums, and music venues.
The New Haven Redemeer Parish was founded in 1838 and the present church was built in 1919. The church is famous for its good acoustics, so concerts were often held there, and several choirs in the area were happy to sing and rehearse there.
The organ of the temple was built in 1951 by the Aeolian-Skinner Organ Co. (Opus 1132) The organ has 3 manuals (but five divisions) and 51 stops. The organ was divided into two cases, on both sides of the sanctuary. This placement, combined with lavish acoustics, created a wonderful and unique sound. The organ was renovated by A. Thompson-Allen Company in 2007. The combinations were digitized, but they did not change the original disposition.
Due to a steady decline in the number of believers and other reasons, the temple was closed a year ago. In this situation, Geoff Johnson - a leader of the ward council - contacted the Hauptwerk community. He wanted to save at least the voice of the organ and asked for help. I applied for this job. Based on my instructions, Geoff recorded the organ notes in May 2019. This recording was a great success thanks to Geoff's careful work and God's help. Then I made the sample set. With this sample, we want to commemorate this wonderful organ and to show the results of a friendly community. We make the sample free for everyone.
The following friends helped me to make and publish the sample set (in alphabetical order): Dominique Dantand, Gérard Lefranc, Péter Marosvári, István Nagy, Jean-Pierre Silvestre and Adrian Wheal. If something's done well, it's thanks to them. Thank you for their work.
Special thanks to Al Morse for his selfless help in correcting the short releases with several days of work
New news about the destiny of the organ. I received good news from Gerald Mossner. The organ was not destroyed, but after its complete renovation, was taken to the Derry Presbiterian Church in Herrshey, Pennsylvania. This is very good news, we are glad that the fate of the organ has turned for the better.
The sample sets are made in several forms.
Hauptwerk v4.2 or v5-9 supported for the Organ Definition Files.

Transmissions are the same as the original organ.
The disposition contains two Chimes, but unfortunately they don't work.

Install pack01 first, then pack02. The order of installation is important. After installing pack01 you can use the reduced wet (far) version. After installing both pack you can use the surround (and wet, and semidry) version.
Both the original and the extended versions are included, and the user decides which version to use.
The wet reduced versions are designed for users who have little RAM. There are only two releases in this version (Long and Short)
If you have enough RAM, please use the surround version, even if you only have a stereo sound system, because the 4-channel surround sample provides a much richer sound.
Guide: simple stereo from surround, how to?
Downloading and using the sample is free, but you can't do anything with it, there are restrictions that apply to this free sample as well. Please read the license which you will find in the 'Important informations' me.
