The city of Ada is famous for the fact that Mátyás Rákosi was born here, who was a Stalinist dictator in Hungary.
The Holy Trinity Church was built in 1795 in baroque style. A storm struck the church tower in 1969. The church tower was rebuilt, but iron bars were left uncovered so that wind could blow over them. This tower is a characteristic feature of the church.
The organ of the church was made by an unknown master in the first half of the 19th century. In 1890, the Angster organ factory repaired the organ. According to a written record, the organ was two manuals and pedal-operated, with 22 registers. In the First World War, most of the tin-pipes were recirculated and later their replacement was only partially completed.
The organ was rebuilt by a Slovenian master Franc Jenko in 1956. He left the romantic disposition unchanged, but restructured the mechanical tract for pneumatic operation.
I made the recording in July 2018. The license was obtained by dr. Andor Pecze, a local doctor and organist. At his request, I put Reeds in the sample from the
The following friends helped me to make and publish the sample set (in alphabetical order): Dominique Dantand, Gérard Lefranc, Nagy István, and Adrian Wheal. If something's done well, it's thanks to them. Thank you for their work.
The sample sets are made in three forms.
a.b. Two channels stereo of wet and semidry
c. A Surround version (3 pairs of stereo recording: close (near); at distance (far) and in the background (rear).
In the surround version you can adjust the perspective by setting the volume of the near, far and rear recordings. (Suitable HW loading and channel settings can be used to give wet or semidry stereo modes or 4 channel surround mode too).
The sample set reverb is 2.5-3 s reflecting the original acoustics of the church

(Install the part 01 of the stereo-wet version. Install the part 01 and then the part 02 and part 03 of surround version. It is important to sort).
Surround vs Stereo mode
If you do not have a surround sound system, but there is enough memory (RAM), I suggest you also install the surround version. If you activate the front and rear stops too, then you will get a more compact and fuller sound than the simple stereo.
